Computer and Office Skills Training
Intensive training in basic computer literacy, internet skills, keyboarding, word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software utilizing state-of-the-art IBM compatible computers. Curriculum includes instruction in general office procedures and business English. Ongoing vocational counseling and job placement assistance upon course completion has led to a placement rate of over 96%.
Home Health Aide Training
This 75 hour course taught by licensed instructors prepares participants to become state certified Home Health Aides. Placement rate of 100% for successful course graduates.
English as a Second Language
Open entry-open exit classes allow for individual level to level progression through 6 levels of instruction in this 30 hour per week program. Survival and employment based curricula are supplemented by individual tutoring as needed. Vocational counseling and job placement assistance are also available.
Adult Basic Education
Instruction in the basic skill areas of English and mathematics prepare students for high school equivalency examinations and/or career advancement. This 25 hour per week program is supplemented by vocational counseling and job placement assistance as needed.
