Émigré Resettlement and Citizenship Preparation







Over 15 nationalities are served in this worldwide, multiethnic program. Services offered to refugees and political asylees living in the US under five years include:

  • Assessment and guidance regarding utilization of prior education and employment.
  • Development of short and long term educational & placement goals
  • Crisis intervention & social adjustment counseling
  • Training assessment & referral

    • Official, notarized translations of all documents (for a nominal fee) Russian, Farsi, Spanish, French, Creole, Hebrew, Albanian, Serbo-Croation, Rumanian, Polish and Yiddish
     
     
  • Tuition reimbursement of up to $1,200 for re-training
  • Employment Enhancement Grants of up to $2,000 for professional development, specialized studies, conferences.

  • 90 day follow-up and on-the-job troubleshooting

    • English language and civics instruction
    • Preparation for the citizenship exam and INS interview
