Vocational Rehabilitation Services for Persons with Disabilities
The Joseph L. Weinberg Vocational Rehabilitation Center, accredited by CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities), provides comprehensive vocational rehabilitation services to individuals with disabilities age 14 to 90+, who, by reason of their disability, are unable to find or sustain employment. Those served include individuals with emotional, physical, neurological, developmental, visual, and hearing disabilities. While referrals to the Rehabilitation Center come from various state and federal agencies that serve people who have disabilities, tours can be arranged without a referral for individuals interested in learning more about the program (see contact information at the bottom of this page.) Agencies that refer individuals to JVS for vocational rehabilitation services include the NJ Division of Vocational Rehabilitation Services, the US Department of Veterans Affairs, the NJ Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, the NJ Division of Developmental Disabilities, and the Morris County Office of Employment and Training. In addition, referrals for transition services are received from school districts throughout New Jersey.
